Situated on the River Severn, Bewdley became a prosperous port for the river traders. It was a gateway for the industries in the Black Country to trade with towns in Golucestershire and Bristol.
Bewdley is now a conservation town retaining many of its old buildings and offers a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.
There are many walks you can take along the River Severn enjoying its beautiful scenery and wondering what it would have been like in days gone by.
Within a few minutes walk from us you will find the famous Severn Valley Steam Railway, which offers a wonderful trip through beautiful countryside to Bridgnorth and Kidderminster.
The Middle Severn is found at the end of our road and the opportunity to catch many species of fish including hard fighting barbel is legendry. Any fishermen will find many a challenge and enjoy the natural surroundings and wildlife the river has to offer.
Rods can be stored on the premises.
The wonderful West Midlands Safari Park with the African Big 5 is 1 mile away and well worth a visit. Wyre Forest, canals and country walks are found in the surrounding areas.

ATTRACTIONS

Severn Valley Steam Railway
On our doorstep the wonderful steam railway is a must when visiting Bewdley.  A 16 mile long journey running close to the River Severn to Bridgnorth, the train journey allows you to relax in the comfort of the old steam trains and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Worcestershire and Shropshire countryside.

West Midlands Safari Park
An excellent day out. The Park houses a variety of animals from all over the world including the big 5 from Africa. Sea Lions, a twilight zone and reptile house which is the largest in Europe.

Stourport on Severn
This Georgian Canal town allows you an insight into a once busy canal port.  It played an important part of carrying goods between the River Severn and the River Trent.  A pretty Georgian town to explore offer boat trips along the river.

Worcester
30 minutes away the City of Worcester with its charm, offers an array of high street shops, boutiques, art galleries and antique shops.  Regular meetings at the races, great shows at the theatres and scenic trip along the river, Worcester is well worth a visit.

Bewdley
A quaint town to explore with its, river walks, museum and a full programme of events happening throughout the year. Rowing regatta, Proms in the Park, Beer festival, Bewdley Festival in October to name just a few.
